I have around 15 years of experience in vascular surgery and I am an expert in managing cases with peripheral arterial disease (poor circulation to limbs, brain or bowel), aortic aneurysm (dilated artery in the stomach) and varicose veins.

I specialise in general vascular surgery with specific interest in treating dilated arteries in the stomach, blocked lower and upper limb arteries, diseased arteries to your bowels and brain, as well as varicose veins, leg ulcers and swelling.

I have specialist interest in treating young patients with popliteal entrapment syndrome.

I offer patients a range of treatment options that suite their condition either with open surgery and/or minimally invasive procedures.

To date, I have performed around 200 open and endovascular abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, > 150 carotid endarterectomy for neck arteries, > 250 bypass operation for blocked arteries and I have special interest in managing complex arterial disease. I have performed > 400 varicose vein surgeries with minimally invasive treatment as a day case and under local anaesthetic. I offer both thermal (Radio-frequency) and non-thermal (ClariVein® + foam sclerotherapy) treatment, as well as foam sclerotherapy, if required. I have performed > 200 endovascular procedures to treat diseased arteries in different parts of the body.

I am a recognised vascular trainer to North West Junior Vascular Trainee's. I am also the educational lead for both undergraduate medical students and postgraduate junior doctors in the vascular department at Countess of Chester Hospital. I was awarded the Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer title from the School of Medicine at University of Liverpool in 2023. I mentor and coach junior doctors through their training and career.
