Specialises in
I am a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon with an NHS practice based at Wrexham Maelor Hospital. I have a sub-specialty interest in hip and knee replacement surgery and am a keen proponent of enhanced recovery following surgery. I pride myself of excellent patient communication.
I graduated from the University of Manchester Medical School in 2007. I completed foundation training in the Oxford Deanery and core surgical training in both plastic surgery (West Midlands) and trauma and orthopaedic surgery (Mersey). In 2013 I was accepted onto the prestigious Stoke/Oswestry orthopaedic higher surgery training programme. Following the six year training programme, I undertook a further year of fellowship training in hip and knee surgery at the internationally renowned Wrightington Hospital.
In addition to my clinical practice, I have a keen interest in teaching. I am a clinical supervisor for surgical trainees and am an honorary clinical lecturer for Cardiff and Bangor University. In addition to this I am a medical appraiser for the Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board.
