MB ChB, MFST(Ed), FRCS(Tr&Orth) Dip Hand Surg
I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in the NHS based at the Rotherham District General Hospital, with a private practice at Spire Claremont Hospital. I am a dual fellowship trained consultant in hand and wrist surgery.
I studied at the University of Bristol Medical School, was a junior surgeon in London and completed my specialist orthopaedic training on the Cambridge rotation. I then spent two years gaining additional experience with fellowships in London and Melbourne, Australia. An award from the Royal College of Surgeons of England enabled me to visit centres of excellence in Lyon, Reims and Paris to learn advanced wrist arthroscopy techniques. My interest in wrist trauma was further developed through an AO Trauma Fellowship in Salzburg, Austria.
I have published, presented and won national prizes for research articles on a variety of subjects. I hold the European Diploma in Hand Surgery and my expertise permits me membership of the European Wrist Arthroscopy Society, the British Society for Surgery of the Hand and the British Mountain Medicine Society.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mr Tim Halsey at Spire include:
Orthopaedics - hand and wrist
Other treatments
British Medical Association
British Orthopaedic Association
British Society of Surgery for the Hand
European Wrist Arthroscopy Society
British Mountain Medicine Society

Away from work I enjoy a variety of outdoor pursuits with my wife and three children.
