MBBS, MS (Orthopaedics), FRCS, Fellow European Board of Trauma and Orthopaedics
I am an Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with Mid Yorks NHS Trust. After completing my primary medical qualification and Master’s degree in Orthopaedics from India, I undertook higher surgical training in Orthopaedics from Leicester (East Midlands south rotation). I then completed the internationally recognised Upper Limb Fellowship in the centre of excellence at Wrightington Hospital and have also completed the Leicester Shoulder Fellowship and BOA accredited Upper Limb Fellowship in University Hospitals of North Tees.
My interests include hand and wrist disorders (Basal thumb arthritis, Dupuytren contractures). I work with a team of anaesthetic and orthopaedics surgery colleagues promoting awake upper limb surgery.
I continue to participate in research collaborations on a local, national and international level and am committed to continuing development of my professional and academic career. I have published articles in The Bone and Joint Journal.
I am a keen swimmer and participates in swimathon events regularly and enjoy time with my family, my GP wife Rajashree and daughter Tanisha.
