Virtual consultations:
I am a female Consultant ENT Surgeon and work between the Manchester Royal Infirmary and Salford Royal Foundation Trust.
I specialise in sinus surgery, functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty, advanced sinus surgery and anterior skull base surgery.
My practice encompasses all conditions that may affect the nose and sinuses, including allergy, sinusitis, blocked nose, broken nose and cosmetic concerns affecting the nose.
I also treat patients who may require revision rhinoplasty and sinus surgery. I am a member of the British Rhinologic Society and the British Society of Facial Plastics Surgery.
I graduated from the University of Leeds in 2001. I stayed on in Yorkshire to complete my early surgical training, moving to Manchester for my higher surgical ENT training.
I became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, England, in 2013 and completed my specialist surgical training in 2015.
I simultaneously completed a postgraduate research degree at the University of Manchester; looking at improving patients’ health related quality of life.
I have published many papers and presented my research at national and international meetings. Patient centred care and high quality surgical outcomes sit at the heart of my practice.
To advance my expertise and sub-specialist rhinology practice, I spent a year on the prestigious rhinology and facial plastic surgery Fellowship at Guy's and St Thomas’ Hospital in London.
I then moved to Canada in 2017 to undertake the American Rhinology Society Fellowship at the University of Alberta, in endoscopic sinus surgery and anterior skull base surgery.
I have a passion for both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching with educational roles at the University of Manchester and Health Education Northwest.
I also provide pastoral care for the ENT trainee doctors at the Manchester Royal Infirmary in my capacity as clinical lead for junior doctors.
I place great importance on making my patients feel comfortable and valued during their treatment journey, fully involving them in the decision making process.
