BSC (Hons) Physiotherapy
I qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2005 from the University of Birmingham. I have worked in the UK and internationally, within the NHS and private institutions. Early on in my career I specialised in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and following the birth of my first child completed further education/studies into the specialism of women's health physiotherapy. I am passionate about improving the pelvic, and general, health of women.
My dual specialism in women's health and musculoskeletal physiotherapy complement each other as they allow a more holistic approach to assessment and treatment of a wide range of conditions.
Women's health conditions I treat include, but are not limited to; bladder and bowel conditions; pelvic organ prolapse; pregnancy related back pain/pelvic girdle pain; obstetric injuries, ie those associated with birth; new mum checks postnatally; menopause and associated pelvic health changes; pelvic pain conditions, eg vaginismus; sexual dysfunction; post-operative gynaecological surgery; coccyx pain. A more comprehensive list of conditions and treatments can be found on the physiotherapy page.
I also enjoy treating post-operative orthopaedic surgeries, sports injuries and other musculoskeletal conditions such as joint and tendon pains. My passion is to return patients to their preferred sport/activity and enable the best quality of life possible.
