I have over 20 years' experience as a consultant in obstetrics and gynaecology. I have extensive experience in managing most gynaecological problems and specialise in the management of vulval conditions and vulval pain. I am registered by the British Society of Vulvo Vaginal Disease (BSVVD) as a trainer.
I am the national and international trainer for colposcopy and lead trainer for Mid Yorkshire NHS Trust, and an advanced menopause specialist recognised by the British Menopause Society. I offer hormone replacement therapy as well as cognitive behavioural therapy for management of problematic menopausal symptoms.
I regularly audit my work and the results are among the best in the country in achieving targets. Yearly patient satisfaction surveys have shown very high satisfaction with my care.
I am a Professional Clinical Advisor for Cervical Screening to Public Health England. Also, I am regularly part of the Quality Assurance team visiting different units in the North of England.
I'm keen to improve global women's health and, on a voluntarily basis, go to low and middle income countries to teach and train nurses and doctors. I fundraise for RCOG projects to improve women's health.

I am very much involved in improving global women's health and recently raised money for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists(RCOG) global women's health project by climbing Mount Rinjani in Indonesia.
I am involved in starting cervical screening projects in lower and middle income countries and have just come back from Uganda training nurses and doctors in cervical screening and treatment. I am very keen to raise awareness of cervical cancer and screening to prevent death by cervical cancer in lower and middle income countries.
I am now planning to continue this project in a remote part of the world called Ladakh in India.
