I have been a Consultant Urological Surgeon since October 2006. As well as providing a general urology service I sub-specialise in complex stone surgery and laser prostate surgery (ThuLEP: Thulium Laser Eneucleation of Prostate) and therefore I receive referrals for such complex surgery from colleagues within Leicester and from the East Midlands.

I specialise in general urology with specific interest in stone surgery and laser prostate surgery (ThuLEP: Thulium Laser Eneucleation of Prostate). I also specialise in performing transperineal template prostate biopsies for the diagnosis of prostate cancer.

I have performed over 1000 laser stone surgeries, more than 1500 laser prostate surgeries as well as in excess of 3000 transperineal template prostate biopsies.

From August 2009 until April 2015 I was the lead urological surgeon at University Hospitals of Leicester. For many years I have been the Medical Advisory Committee urology representative at Spire Leicester Hospital.

I am committed to research and in particular prostate cancer research and have published in excess of 100 peer-reviewed papers in many scientific journals. In recognition of my prostate cancer research, I was appointed an Honorary Professor at the Van Geest Cancer Centre, Nottingham Trent University in 2018.

I am committed to education and regularly give academic lectures on various urology topics, both at a regional and national forums.
