What made you choose a career at Spire Healthcare?

The people, the opportunities available for staff, and value Spire gives to individuals.

What’s an 'average day' like for you within your role?

Every day is a different day within my role. As a department, we have our tasks, but we also have to deal with last minute requests that can involve other teams as well. And the good thing is we're always here to help each other.

Tell us a bit about the team you work with?

We are a team of seven, plus bank staff. The main key is that we work as a team, and use the best of our qualities on a day to day basis. I am very proud of our team and we celebrate each other.

How have the flexible working hours impacted you?

Spire offers a good work-life balance, which has a good impact on colleagues - both professionally and personally.

What do you enjoy most about working at Spire?

The people and the organisation's values.

What do you find most challenging? And how do you overcome those challenges?

New projects are always a challenge, but it's what drives me to do my best every day.

Tell us about your career progression at Spire Healthcare?

I started at Spire Healthcare as a housekeeper supervisor, and after two years I was promoted to Hotel Services Supervisor. After that, I started a position in the Medical Records Team as an administrator. There was then an opportunity to apply for the Team Lead position, which I did, and I was offered the job. I was very happy because I really like to build teams and work with individuals and get the best of them. I appreciate all the opportunities I've been given at Spire Healthcare. And what's especially nice here is that you are heard, and your management helps you achieve your goals.

What are you most proud of?

I am proud of being part of an organisation and team that have great values, and who put the care and safety of patients as a priority, and that also cares about the wellbeing of their staff.
