I am a specialist in shoulder, elbow and hand problems including sports related injuries. I pride myself in my innovative approach to treatment and my up-to-date knowledge of the field. I use the latest techniques to correct, treat and repair damage to the upper limbs.
I completed a fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery at Liverpool University Hospital, performing all aspects of shoulder, elbow and hand surgery, mostly arthroscopically.
I see over 2,000 new patients annually and perform over 750 procedures each year.
As an expert in upper-limb orthopaedic surgery, I am often called upon to educate those entering the profession or to provide specialist knowledge to GPs. I work with Bangor University, training advanced clinical practitioners working on the trauma ward and extended scope physiotherapists. I act as a mentor and assessor for their clinical competence. I also work with the universities of Cardiff and Liverpool – allowing medical students to attend my clinics for teaching purposes.
I am a keen teacher and an educational supervisor to trainee junior doctors in Ysbyty Gwynedd.
