I'm a Consultant Gynaecological Oncologist. I qualified from. London in 2000. My career has been directed to obtaining the best training I could receive to become a gynaecologist.
In 2007 I sub-specialised, and following a period of research into Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and its association with cervical cancer, I trained to become a gynaecological oncologist, specialising in the treatment of gynaecological cancers.
I trained in Cardiff and then decided to move to North Wales to develop the cancer services in this region. As part of this service I carry out major gynae surgery and along with colleagues in Cardiff have developed the largest group of laparoscopic hysterectomy cases in Wales.
My private practice is aiming to provide the same dedicated professional service that I offer in the NHS but guaranteeing personal care in diagnosis, treatment and follow up as required. Consultations are either at Abergele or at Yale.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mr Richard Peevor at Spire include:
Gynaecology
Other treatments
Laparoscopic surgery Gynaecological cancer.

Away from medicine I enjoy family life. Married to Danielle, I have two children, Joshua and Isabella. We enjoy sailing particularly in home waters but also abroad. My love of the outdoors also includes running, cycling and swimming.
I have been known to compete (albeit badly) in the occasional Triathlon.
I am a keen fundraiser and have now started raising funds for gynaecological cancer care improvement in North Wales.
