I am a Consultant in Breast and General Surgery. I have specialised interests in breast cancer, aesthetic breast surgery, including reconstructive and aesthetic breast surgery as well as general surgery.
I graduated from the University of Pecs, Hungary in 1995 with an MD in Medicine and completed Postgraduate Training in surgery at the same University, qualifying in General Surgery and Breast Surgery FRCS in 2001.
I undertook a 12 month elective period in Plastic Surgery with Professor Jean-Marie Servant in Hospital St Louis, Paris, France which further stimulated a longstanding interest in breast, oncoplastic and aesthetic surgery. I undertook advanced training in plastic and reconstructive surgery and in 2002 completed further training in both aesthetic and breast surgery in Pecs University, Hungary.
In 2006 I moved with my family to Wales where I continue to work as a consultant at Betsi Cadwaladr University Local Health Board's Glan Clwyd Hospital, Bodelwyddan with interests in breast surgery, breast reconstruction and general surgery.
I am an Honorary Lecturer at Cardiff University and lead clinician for breast cancer in North Wales and an accredited Breast Test Wales Screening Surgeon.
I have published articles on a broad range of topics covering aesthetic surgery and breast cancer surgery in peer reviewed journals and am the principle investigator in national and international trials. I am also responsible for managing a Foundation Programme and the education and training needs of each junior doctor on the programme at the BCULHB central area.
