Spire Abergele Clinic’s colleagues donate gifts and chocolates to The Hummingbird project

16 December 2024

Colleagues at Spire Abergele Clinic have come together to collect selection boxes and gifts for local children who are supported by The Hummingbird project.

The Hummingbird Project is a not-for-profit charity, based in Abergele that has been running since 2021, and to date they have supported over 15,000 families

Any parents in need from the local area are invited to visit the hub and to bring with them an empty bag which they are encouraged to then fill with gifts and surprises for their children so they can enjoy a happy Christmas. In November the charity also donated around 90 coats to struggling families that had been donated to them throughout the year.

As part of The Hummingbirds Christmas appeal the team at Spire Abergele Clinic donated selection boxes and toiletries to the charity.  They then took the time to visit the project to drop off the items and to meet some volunteers of the Hummingbird Project - Pat and Riat who thanked the team for their donations.

Clare Jamieson, General Manager at Spire Healthcare Abergele Clinic

“We are pleased to support The Hummingbird Project, who carry out fantastic and inspirational work within the local community. The team at Spire Abergele clinic were keen to find a charity to help this Christmas season, and we are thrilled to be able to support this fantastic local initiative,

We hope our donations go some way in supporting The Hummingbird project and make a difference to local children at Christmas. We now plan to donate coats for the project and continue to work closely with the charity for the good of the Abergele community.”
