I have been a Consultant in Acute and General Medicine since 2015 and have since developed subspecialty interest in stroke medicine. I am an expert in the field of cryptogenic stroke and managing vascular risk factors like diabetes, hypertension and hyperlipidaemia.
I also have vast experience in general medical conditions having had a wide experience and training in various medical fields (trained in acute and intensive care medicine in Singapore).
My areas of expertise include TIA, stroke and post stroke complications, headache disorders, syncope and blackouts, hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia and metabolic syndrome, unexplained medical symptoms, falls, bone health, cognitive impairment and venous thromboembolism.
My procedural skills include adhesive cardiac patch monitors (14 day AI aided cardiac monitors), implantable loop recorders for cardiac arrhythmias, greater occipital nerve block for headache disorders and intra-articular injection.
I am currently working in one of the hyper-acute stroke units for West Kent at Darent Valley Hospital since 2019. I have developed highly successful cardiac rhythm analysis pathways in ischaemic stroke of unknown origin and am part of the expert committee for relevant device evaluation with NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence).
I am the service lead for cryptogenic stroke at Darent Valley Hospital where I have established carious pathways and integrated technologies to deliver patient care. We are currently developing a nurse led ILR service and and a one-stop TIA clinic in the trust.
I am an honorary senior clinical lecturer at King's College London and the module lead for long term conditions for final year MBBS students. I am also a clinical lecturer and clinical academic tutor for Kent and Medway Medical School.
I am involved in staff development within the department and also nationally. I have developed the training module for the Physician's associate in Stroke medicine with collaboration with SSEF from University of Lancashire.
