I qualified in Medicine at King's College, London and have a doctorate in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Sussex. I trained in cardiology at Guy's Hospital, London and at the Royal Postgraduate Medical School, Hammersmith Hospital.
My specialist areas include cardiac arrhythmias, pacemakers and ICDs (especially concealed submammary implants in women), EPS and ablation; diagnosis of complex heart conditions and "holistic" cardiology; treatment of dyspnoea (breathlessness).
I was appointed Consultant Cardiologist at Bristol Royal Infirmary until 2016.
I have undertaken research on pacemaker design and software, implantation techniques, electrophysiology and catheter ablation, angioplasty, respiratory physiology and training.
