Dr Mark Callaway

Consultant Radiologist

Bm, MRCP, FRCR

I am an interventional radiologist with a major interest in both gastrointestinal and chest disease. I perform all non-vascular interventional techniques but am particularly interested in radiological management of liver disease. This requires experience in a wide range of procedures.

I received training in Manchester and Bristol. These procedures include transjugular intrahepatic portal systematic shunt placement (TIPSS), transjugular liver biopsy, all percutaneous biliary intervention and stent placement. In addition I am currently developing radiofrequency ablation. I also have a major interest in chest disease, particularly lung cancer.

I have a well developed research programme assessing imaging modalities in the staging of common carcinoma and publish in peer review journals frequently.
