I trained in Paediatric Surgery and Urology at Alder Hey Hospital, Liverpool; at Bristol and Birmingham Children's Hospital and the Children's Hospital in Melbourne, Australia.

I spent the last 18 months of my training in a sub-specialty Paediatric Urology Fellowship, which concentrated on Laparoscopic Urological Surgery. I was appointed as a Consultant in December 2005 at Bristol's Royal Hospital for Children.

I am married to Sarah who is a GP and we have two children. My interests outside of work include running (I have completed 10 half-marathons), triathlons, and most recently kite-surfing.
