MD, FRCOG
I am an experienced senior Consultant in Reproductive Medicine & Surgery and am also one of the few Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) Accredited Specialists in Reproductive Medicine (less than 5% of Consultant Gynaecologists are able to undertake this training).
As an accredited Specialist, I have had additional three years of specialist training acquiring advanced skills and competencies in infertility, Assisted Conception (IVF,ICSI,IUI), male infertility, sperm recovery procedures, Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), tubal problems, fertility surgery, endometriosis and reproductive endocrinology. This ensures a comprehensive, holistic and thorough approach to my patient care for both male and female infertility issues.
For over two decades now, I have headed the IVF services in Bristol. I am currently the Medical Director of Bristol Fertility Clinic, at Spire Bristol Hospital.
I take pride in providing personalised Consultant care to all my patients, which is unique with my service. In addition to one to one Consultant care, I ensure high quality and an evidence-based approach to management with excellent success rates to patients.
I hold many national roles and am currently the Andrology Representative of the British Fertility Society (BFS), the National Professional Body. I am in charge of organising the RCOG / BFS meetings, which provide senior level training with up to date courses in Subfertility and Assisted Conception, to other medical, nursing and laboratory professionals. I am also the clinical representative of the NQAAP Committee, which audits and regulates the semen analysis services within UK to maintain best standards of care. I am the RCOG Sub-Specialist Programme Supervisor, having supervised and trained many doctors in Reproductive Medicine in Bristol, as well as organising Study Days for GPs. I am the National Women’s Chair for BAPIO.
I work as a Consultant Senior Lecturer within the University of Bristol and have published widely in the field. I am the Module Leader for the internationally reputed and very popular Reproduction and Early Development MSc programme with the University of Bristol. I lead both the Infertility Diagnosis and Management as well as Assisted Reproduction Technologies Modules. I maintain an active interest in research and have won many awards through my career.

I live in Bristol and am married to Andrew, a Reproductive Scientist and Embryologist. I have two grown up children, both in the medical field.
We run a free fertility service in rural India with the support of Bristol Fertility Clinic. In my spare time, I like to host events for my local community and when time allows, a treasured trip to the cinema or a concert with my husband.
