Dilys Huggins from Kingswood, Bristol, came in for surgery with orthopaedic surgeon Mr Michael Kelly at Spire Bristol Hospital in April 2013...
Dear Sir or Madam,
It is difficult to know where to start and who to thank most because the care and support I have recently received from staff at the Spire was exemplary.
From the very first contact with Tracy and then with Mr Kelly; through the nursing staff, medical officers, physiotherapists, domestics, anaesthetist, theatre staff, I have been treated with respect and kindness. I am sure I have probably missed someone off the list but I assure that is my omission because I was probably unaware of their contribution.
If I had to single out one particular service I suppose it would be the quality and variety of the food! Being gluten-free, choosing what to eat can be a nightmare and very restricting but at the Spire it was never a problem and my quirks were catered for beautifully.
I was also impressed by the patience and dedication of the physiotherapists. I fear I made their job a bit more difficult than it should have been but we got there in the end.
The result of my recent experience is that I would recommend the Spire to anyone who needed hip replacement surgery, in the same way that it was recommended to me by previous patients.
Please pass on my thanks to everyone concerned.
