Tony Rickard from Backwell, Bristol, came in for procedures performed in our Catheterisation Lab by consultant cardiologist Dr Glyn Thomas at Spire Bristol Hospital in November 2013...
I wanted to say how much I appreciated the support you have given to me over the last few weeks both at the Spire and on the telephone.
Believe me when I say this whole journey has been quite a challenge for me. From being a very active person and then being diagnosed with AF by my GP on the 29th October with a very bad reaction to beta blockers, to my consulting visit with Dr Glyn Thomas on the 14th November and the subsequent procedures on the 19th Nov. and the 26th Nov. Very fast track and quite scary.
Dr Glyn Thomas mended me on the 26th of November THANK YOU VERY MUCH Glyn. A very clever man and also a very nice person.
While one feels relatively secure when you are at the hospital, its always the time when you leave the hospital and are at home recovering or waiting for the next procedure that you feel worried. During that time I really appreciated the phone calls from you.
Please would you pass on my sincere thanks to all the team in the Cath Lab and the Recovery Room. Also to all the nurses and support staff on the 3rd floor who looked after me after both my procedures visits. The thing that impressed me was how everyone worked as part of a team in looking after me.
I am feeling really good and keeping my fingers crossed that I wont need the third procedure. I am still taking things easy but have now started doing an easy walk every day
So please pass on "THANK YOU VERY MUCH" to the whole team.
Many Thanks.
