Virtual consultations:
I am a trained specialist in gastroenterology, liver and pancreatic disease. I treat all aspects of gastroenterology including dyspepsia, irritable bowel syndrome and diarrhoea and have a sub-specialty interest in liver and pancreatic disease. I also practice basic and advanced endoscopy including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP and endoscopic ultrasound.
In the outpatient clinic, I take time and care to understand your symptoms and have previously received excellent feedback from patients and colleagues. I am an accredited endoscopist (JAG) and have very good colonoscopy comfort scores.
I qualified in 2001 from Oxford University where I was awarded a prestigious Nuffield Scholarship in Medicine and undertook my postgraduate clinical training at the Hammersmith, King's College and Royal London hospitals. My NHS practice is based at West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust where I am Clinical Lead of the department of Gastroenterology. I am also an honorary Hepatology at the Royal Free Hospital where I conduct liver clinics.
In 2008, I was appointed as a Clinical Research Fellow at Imperial College and awarded a PhD in 2012. I have published a number of articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented research at National and International conferences. I maintain an active interest in clinical research, with a focus on liver and pancreatic disease.
