I have been a Consultant since 2002 and have a special interest in female bladder problems and prolapse, having undertaken specialist surgical training and research in urogynaecology. I have also been fully trained in laparoscopic surgery and have a particular interest in the treatment of pelvic pain.

I am currently a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist at West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust. In the trust, I frequently perform laser surgery for endometriosis. I am happy to treat most ovarian cysts using keyhole techniques. I see outpatients and operate at Watford General Hospital, Hemel Hempstead and St Albans City Hospitals.

I also welcome patients with general gynaecological problems such as heavy, irregular or painful periods.

Menopausal symptoms such as flushes and sweats can be extremely distressing particularly as they can often continue for several years. I have significant expertise in this area and would be pleased to help. I am a member of the British Menopause Society and for a number of years I have also been on the Editorial Board of the Scientific Journal Maturitas - which focuses on problems around the menopause and beyond.

I have written a large number of publications including book chapters and scientific papers in medical journals. I have also lectured at meetings both in the UK and abroad. I am responsible for providing urodynamic investigations across the trust and hold specialist continence clinics.

I keep a record of the outcomes of my surgery on the British Society of Urogynaecology (BSUG) Database.
