I am an experienced Consultant ENT Surgeon with well over 10 years’ experience of both adult and paediatric ENT practice as an NHS consultant. I regularly treat patients with all common ENT conditions including hearing loss, ear problems, nose and sinus issues, catarrh, sore throats, throat irritation and neck lumps. I am on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council and am fully accredited by the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
The philosophy of my practice is to offer patients modern and up-to-date treatment of their conditions with a friendly and personal approach to their care, recognising that many ENT problems require a fine balance of medical and self management. All aspects of the patient's health and wellbeing are taken into account in deciding the best management for each individual and every patient has a plan tailored specifically for their requirements, ensuring both the most optimal clinical input and the best patient experience. I always ensure that I have listened to my patients and that I have offered a clear explanation of my findings. This helps my patients to better understand their condition and feel able to manage it or consider any treatment options.
I qualified in medicine from the Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School (now part of Imperial College, London) and proceeded onto general surgical training in university teaching hospitals and district general hospitals in and around London. During my Specialist ENT training I worked at centres of excellence including Charing Cross Hospital, the Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital and Royal Free Hospital in the North Thames training region, as well as the Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in the West Midlands training region.
I continue to attend international conferences and courses to stay up-to-date. I hold the posts of Consultant and Head of Department for ENT/Head and Neck Surgery at the West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust.
