I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore and a Member of the British Scoliosis Society. I graduated from Charles University Medical School, Prague in 1985 and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (UK) in 1995. I undertook specialist training in spinal surgery in both the Czech Republic and the UK. I completed a Fellowship in Spinal Surgery at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and was appointed as a Consultant in Spinal Surgery in 1994.
I have an extensive paediatric and adult practice. I operate on children with spinal deformity - both scoliosis and kyphosis. I regularly perform microdiscectomy for disc prolapse and decompression for stenosis. I also undertake surgery for spinal tumour and spinal trauma. I have a particular interest in scoliosis due to muscle disease. I provide a spinal deformity surgical service for a number of European countries.
