MBBS
I qualified from the Middlesex Hospital Medical School (now part of UCLH) in 1975 and have been a GP in Borehamwood and Elstree for the last 39 years. I retired from NHS GP Partnership in 2017 but continue to do regular weekly sessions in the NHS practice as well as twice weekly private sessions at the Spire Bushey Diagnostic Centre. I am also a GP Appraiser.
I enjoy all aspects of general medicine and have worked as a GP with special interest in both gynaecology and urology. I hold postgraduate qualifications in both. More recently I have been concentrating on urology and men’s health. This includes areas such as bladder irritability, erectile dysfunction, urinary symptoms and diagnosing/excluding prostate cancer.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Dr Leonard Hirsch at Spire include:
General practice
COVID-19 testing or antibody tests are not available as a standalone service at Spire Bushey Hospital.

In my spare time I enjoy travel and sport (more watching than partaking these days). I also enjoy photography.
