Mr Naveed Shaikh

Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon

MBBS, FRCS (Orth)

"Spire Bushey Hospital has excellent facilities, enabling me to provide a first class service to my patients. It's a great place to work as staff are dedicated to providing the highest quality of care."

I am an expert knee, foot and ankle surgeon. While delivering a service my ultimate aim is to provide the highest quality of medical care in the form of safe and effective treatment with complete patient satisfaction.

I graduated from the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine in 1998. I have done most of my surgical training in hospitals around London. Just before being appointed at Hillingdon and Mount Vernon Hospitals as a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon in 2014 I completed two high level sub-specialty fellowships in Cambridge and London. My areas of sub-specialty are treatment of all foot, ankle and knee disorders.

I am the diabetic foot lead at Hillingdon Hospital. I am also a member of the Morbidity and Mortality Surveillance group.

I am a clinical supervisor and am involved in teaching and training junior surgeons on the West London Orthopaedic Registrar rotation. I am also involved in teaching medical students from Imperial College who are placed at Hillingdon Hospital.

I have previously presented and published research papers at various scientific meetings and am passionate about teaching surgical trainees.
