I was appointed in 2012, as a Consultant Colorectal and Laparoscopic General surgeon at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital. I ensure all my patients have a high quality, evidence based approach to their care. My NHS practice at Luton encompasses elective bowel cancer surgery as well as an on-call commitment for general surgery. I offer my patients expertise in open and laparoscopic (keyhole) bowel cancer surgery, colorectal cancer treatments and surgery for inflammatory bowel diseases (Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis).

I perform hernia repair (groin, abdominal, incisional) and deal with all aspects of coloproctology (piles, fissures and fistula). I am an accredited endoscopist (OGD, colonoscopy and removal of polyps). My specialist training in pelvic floor dysfunction allows me to offer patients surgery for rectal prolapse and effective management of evacuatory disorders.

I qualified in medicine from St Mary's Hospital, London and then completed basic surgical training in the King's College surgical rotation. I did my research at the Royal Free Hospital and University College, London. I gained specialist surgical training (colorectal surgery) in the South East Thames region. I completed my training with a senior post-CCT fellowship in Pelvic Floor surgery at John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford

I have an active research interest in clinical surgery and pelvic floor dysfunction, and have published papers in peer-reviewed journals. I actively train young surgeons in keyhole surgery, as well as teaching medical students attached to Luton and Dunstable Hospital.
