Spire Bushey Hospital colleagues raise over £700 during their annual summer charity drive activities
01 July 2024
Colleagues at Spire Bushey Hospital have raised over £700 through a week of fundraising activities during Spire Healthcare’s 2024 Summer charity drive – all in aid of Home-Start Watford & Three Rivers. Home-Start volunteers work alongside families in the three districts of Watford, Three Rivers and Hertsmere to give compassionate and confidential support and make sure the earliest years count, so that no child’s future is limited.
During the multi-day event, colleagues across the business, including at Spire Healthcare’s 39 hospitals in England, Wales and Scotland, undertook a wide variety of activities including walking, cycling and running to raise money. At Spire Bushey Hospital, colleagues took part in a bake sale, raffle and a range of games.
Charitable donations are being accepted and can be made to Home Start Watford & Three Rivers by donating online through our fundraising page.
Justin Ash, CEO of Spire Healthcare, said: "I’d like to thank Spire colleagues, and consultants for taking part in our 2024 Summer Charity Drive. It’s inspiring to see so many people giving of their time to raise funds for such a wide range of excellent causes. In addition to working every day to make a positive difference to people’s lives through outstanding personalised care, we at Spire Healthcare also believe in giving back to our local communities, and making a positive contribution to society wherever we can. I am therefore incredibly proud of everyone’s support and efforts to make this year’s fundraising period so successful.”
Darren Rogers, Hospital Director at Spire Bushey Hospital said: “We originally set a fundraising target of £350 so we are delighted that the total amount raised is more than double that. Our hospital community are proud to support local charity Home Start Watford & Three Rivers and the important work they do in the area. Thank you to the local businesses who generously donated items for the raffle prizes.”
