Neurology is the area of medicine that deals with conditions and diseases that affect the nervous system. This includes problems affecting the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves and muscles, as well as the special senses of vision, smell, taste and hearing. Therefore it is a wide ranging and important field of medicine, neurology requires a team of specialists working closely together across many different medical and surgical specialities.

In recognition of this, Spire Bushey Hospital has set up the North London Neurology Centre (NLNC) which is a fully integrated and comprehensive out-patient-based neurology service dealing with both major and minor neurological complaints. The multi-disciplinary team is formed by seven highly experienced London-based consultant neurologists from four major neuroscience and neurology centres in the capital. Our neurologists are some of the best in their field and hold (or have held) senior positions in London’s renowned major teaching hospitals.

How do I get referred to the North London Neurology Centre?

You will need to ask your GP or consultant for a referral to see your desired neurology consultant at Spire Bushey Hospital. Either you or your GP will then contact us to arrange an appointment. The same process applies to both insured and non-insured/self-funding patients.
