I have been a Consultant Community Paediatrician for eight years and have specialised in Community Paediatrics for ten years. I specialise in the assessment, investigation and management of neurodevelopmental disorders such as developmental delay, Autism and ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). Within most NHS organisations, pathways for different developmental disorders is managed by different agencies. I assess the co-existing and overlapping developmental disorders in a holistic way for a child or young person. I am an advocate for children with special educational needs and work in close liaison with Education services.
I have specialist training in Autism assessments including the ADOS (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule). I am the lead for ADHD services within community paediatrics in West Suffolk and manage ADHD in accordance with NICE guidance. I have an interest in acquired brain injury from any cause and the longer term effects and am an active member and previous chair of the Eastern Children's Head Injury Network.
I manage four neurodevelopmental clinics per week with my NHS work and also help to support the development of regional guidelines for the investigation of children with developmental delay.
I am the Clinical Lead for the Community Paediatric Team in Suffolk.

I live locally with my wife and two young boys. I enjoy spending time with my family. I am a governor at the local village school, particularly focusing on special educational needs.
