MBBS, MD, FRCP
I was appointed as a Consultant Dermatologist at Addenbrooke's Hospital in 1997. I graduated from St Thomas' Hospital, London, and trained in dermatology at the Institute of Dermatology, London and then Addenbrookes’s Hospital, Cambridge. Following an MD thesis I have continued my research interests. I have published research and clinical papers in a wide variety of medical journals and have written chapters for six medical and dermatology textbooks. I have been appointed on to the editorial boards for three dermatology journals.
I set up the paediatric dermatology service in Addenbrooke's and I am a past President of the British Society for Paediatric Dermatology. I was a staff Governor at Addenbrooke’s Hospital for four years and dermatology departmental lead for eight years. During that time we received several awards for our innovative work in the department including the prestigious national ‘Dermatology Team of the Year Award’.
I am involved in teaching and lecture on several national training courses for dermatologists and I also co-organise an annual dermatology conference in Cambridge with international delegates.
I see both adult and paediatric dermatology patients for a broad range of dermatology problems in my NHS and Private clinics.
