I have been a consultant haematologist at Addenbrooke's Hospital since 2017. Previous I trained in the East of England, South West Peninsula and London. I am an expert in bleeding and thrombotic disorders and non-malignant haematology (non-cancerous blood disorders).

I specialise in non-malignant haematology and this includes investigation of bleeding symptoms and management of bleeding disorders, management of thrombosis (such as deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism), obstetric haematology, investigation of low blood counts (e.g. anaemia), obstetric (pregnancy) haematology, antiphospholipid syndrome, immune thrombocytopenia, autoimmune haemolytic anaemia, thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura and iron infusions.

I am chair of the Cambridge University Hospitals (CUH) Drugs and Therapeutics Committee. I am the clinical lead for the East of England specialist thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP) center, thrombosis treatment team, specialist haemostasis laboratory and anticoagulation service. From 2020-2022 I was the director of the CUH Haemophilia Centre.

I have chaired the UKHCDO committee which looked at bleeding of unknown cause (unclassified bleeding disorder) from 2020-2023.

Please note, I do not look after blood cancers (haemato-oncology or haemochromatosis).
