I have been Consultant at the North West Anglia FT where I lead the Fertility and Reproductive Medicine Service. I have dedicated my work to understand and treat gynaecological conditions that often affect women’s lives and I want to help my patients to regain or maintain a good quality of life. I routinely manage menstrual disorders, adolescent gynaecology and menopause. I have matured significant expertise in managing endometriosis and reproductive medicine concerns.
I specialise in gynaecological minimal access surgery, meaning advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery. I have a specific interest in endometriosis and I routinely treat ovarian pathologies and perform laparoscopic hysterectomies. I perform hysteroscopic removal of polyps and fibroids. I also have a keen interest in gynaecological endocrinology, with specific references to polycystic ovarian syndrome, periods disturbance, menopause, PMS and amenorrhoea (absent periods).
I have performed hundreds of laparoscopic cases for hysterectomy, endometriosis, ovarian cysts or tubal problems. I have performed hundreds of cases of hysteroscopy and treatment of polyps and fibroids. I am proficient in diagnosing benign gynaecological pathologies by transvaginal ultrasound scan. I strive to offer my patients the most modern and up to date treatment options.
I am a recognised Menopause Specialist with the British Menopause Society (BMS) and you can find me on the BMS website.
I see my role in helping women effectively manage their menopausal symptoms and improve their overall wellbeing. I provide personalised care and evidence based treatments to navigate the physical and emotional challenges associated with menopause and addressing concerns and question along the way.
I am very proud to be Head of School of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the East of England Deanery. I provide a strategic direction for the school by managing and addressing the quality of postgraduate training and education across the 17 hospitals in the region.
