Virtual consultations:

I host virtual appointments only.

I have been a consultant since 2001 and in my current post in Cardiff since 2004. I work full time for the NHS and am responsible for management of inpatients, outpatients and acute admissions on a day to day basis.

I offer a full range of blood tests and appropriate imaging for the disease areas that I specialise in.

I am happy to see patients with general medical conditions and offer a full diabetes review service including complications check, medication review and risk factor management. I can also provide consultations and advice on pituitary, thyroid, bone, calcium, adrenal, testicular and weight disorders. I do not see women with fertility problems or polycystic ovary syndrome nor do I see children or teenagers with pubertal or developmental queries.

I am the clinical lead for diabetes in Cardiff and help develop the strategic direction of the service. I have close links with management and primary care and liaise closely with these groups to maintain a high quality service.

I have an active role in the education and supervision of students and trainee doctors and sit on the Specialist Training Committee for Diabetes and Endocrinology.
