I have worked as a doctor in elite level sport for over 12 years, and was appointed the first NHS Consultant in Sport and Exercise Medicine in Wales.
I manage patients with a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions, including sporting and exercise injuries and a diverse number of exercised induced medical conditions. I can equally adapt in managing non-sporting related musculoskeletal conditions, and utilise my skills honed within the elite sporting environment to help return individuals back to their desired level of function.

I am passionate about finding the route cause for someone’s ailment, rather than focusing solely on the area of pain/limitation, and therefore, take my time to conduct a thorough assessment, before working closely with therapists (eg physiotherapists and podiatrists) to optimise the rehabilitation of my patients.
I hold a PgC in MSK USS and utilise this skill for diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound guided procedures.
My previous posts include being team doctor to Bath and Scarlets Rugby, Chief Medical Officer at the Invictus Games in Sydney 2018 and Sports Physician at Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2014 and London Olympic and Paralympic Games 2012.
