I have been a consultant colorectal surgeon since 2015, following completion of my subspecialty pelvic floor surgical training in Oxford. I specialise in gastrointestinal surgery, general surgery and pelvic floor surgery.
I trained in Wales and London and completed an MD in 2011 from Imperial College, London. I am trained in laparoscopic and open colorectal and general surgery. I work with a multidisciplinary team including colorectal nurses, physiotherapists, gastroenterologists, chronic pain specialists and urogynaecologists.
I am the Chair of the Pelvic Floor Multidisciplinary team for Cardiff and Cwm Taf. Chair of Task and Finish Group on Pelvic Health - Faecal Incontinence 2018 for the Welsh Assembly Programme secretary (joint) for The Pelvic Floor Society.
My research interests are colorectal cancer and bowel dysfunction that can result from this as well as injury from childbirth. I have published more than 30 publications and presented nationally and internationally.
