"The facilities at the Spire Cardiff Hospital are second to none. It is a privilege working here. The atmosphere is incredibly supportive and the staff are wholly committed to each patient's treatment."
I am a consultant ENT surgeon at Spire Cardiff Hospital and the University Hospital of Wales. I am a fellowship trained rhinologist with a specialist interest in sinus disease and the extended applications of endoscopic sinus surgery.
I treat a broad spectrum of patients ranging from those with simple hay fever through to severe inflammatory sinonasal disease including polyps. In addition to my training in the medical and surgical management of general ENT conditions, I have an active interest in all aspects of paediatric ENT.
I manage all types of complaints such as nasal obstruction, sinusitis and rhinitis. My expertise include frontal sinus surgery, anterior skull base surgery, orbital and optic nerve surgery. I am referred complex cases from consultant colleagues across South Wales, such as patients with severe disease, those who require revision surgery as well as patients who have suffered complications of surgery elsewhere. I have performed over 500 sinus surgeries and operate on both benign and malignant presentations.
I work alongside neurosurgery at the University Hospital of Wales and co-chair the South Wales skull base multidisciplinary team meeting.
I am the Wales council representative at the British Rhinology Society and am the post-graduate educational lead for ENT at the University Hospital of Wales.
