I have been a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist for 18 years. My practice is broad seeing a wide range of patients in O&G, however, my private practice is Gynaecology only.
I specialise in Gynaecology with specific interests in menopause, endometriosis, menstrual disorders, post menopausal bleeding and am able to offer advice and investigation around miscarriage and recurrent miscarriage. I, however, do not perform colposcopy or vulvoscopy and am not a Urogynaecologist.
Menstrual disorders are a large part of my Gynaecology practice. I offer the full range of medical treatment options and minor surgical interventions such as endometrial ablation and laparoscopic or open hysterectomy when required. This also includes fitting of coils, hormonal treatments both oral and injectable and office based treatments along with hysteroscopy and operative hysteroscopy.
I offer most aspects of medical and surgical fibroid management, investigation and treatment, along with management of ovarian cysts as well as vulval biopsy, vulval skin problems such as lichen sclerosis and treatment of common skin conditions.
I offer medical and, where appropriate, surgical management options for endometriosis care.
In the treatment of perimenopause and menopause I can offer all aspects of HRT, including implants of oestrogen and testosterone where appropriate and fitting of hormonal IUS.
Post menopausal bleeding investigation and treatment is something I commonly deal with, which includes endometrial biopsy, hysteroscopy, resection of endometrial polyps where found and treatment of local oestrogen deficiency.
Surgically, I can offer minimally invasive approaches such as hysteroscopy, resection of endometrial polyps and submucous fibroids, diagnostic and operative laparoscopy, open or laparoscopic ovarian cystectomy, open or laparoscopic hysterectomy, laparoscopically assisted vaginal hysterectomy and vaginal hysterectomy. Endometrial ablation can be offered with hysteroscpy as an office procedure or under anaesthetic.
In my NHS practice I am the Lead for Endometriosis. I have a keen interest in Menopause Management and am a member of the British Menopause Society and hold a regular Menopause clinic.
Throughout my NHS Consultant Practice, I have had at least weekly theatre lists with an Advanced Training Module undertaken in Benign Gynaecological Surgery during my Specialist training. This has lead to a broad experience in Gynaecological operating. I regularly have outpatient Ambulatory Gynaecology sessions with office based procedures, such as, hysteroscopy, endometrial polyp resection and endometrial ablation being performed.
In Endometriosis management, I have fortnightly dedicated clinics within a multidisciplinary team working with Colleagues from the Endometriosis Centre at UHW regularly.
In Menopause management, I have a fortnightly NHS clinic and am a recognised Menopause Specialist with the British Menopause Society.

I enjoy spending my spare time running in the beautiful Brecon Beacons, paddleboarding on the sea and I’m an avid motorcyclist doing regular track days and riding for pleasure when the days are longer and the tarmac sticky. I am also an active member of my local tennis club.
