I am a Consultant Urological Surgeon at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff. As well as practising most aspects of general urology, my subspecialist interests are stone surgery and minimally invasive urology. I also have a secondary interest in urodynamics and female incontinence surgery.
I qualified from the University of Wales College of Medicine in 1990. I then obtained the FRCS (Eng.) in 1994 and trained in urology in South Wales. I spent two years as a research fellow at the University of Wales College of Medicine and obtained my MD thesis in 1999. My higher surgical training was completed in Cardiff, Newport and Swansea.

I was born in Caerphilly and educated in Bristol. I am married with a small daughter. I am a proficient pianist and obtained Grade 8 qualification before starting university. I have organised musical charity performances in the past, but now continue to play for my personal pleasure.
