I promised I would write to you to follow up the knee surgery you carried out for me in November 2018.

To test the knee I wanted to do something relatively straight forward and my daughter (who is 12) wanted to climb Kilimanjaro. So just to let you know we were both successful and summited Kilimanjaro on 3rd March in good style.

I had no problem at all with the knee so I would regard the op as very successful. As you know I had the hip replacement last April and that was fine too. Its a pity that BUPA were so obstructive but we got there in the end.

My daughter is now the youngest person in Wales to have climbed the mountain.

I now plan a series of training climbs inc Ama Dablam in Himalaya in November and possibly Everest from Tibet (North Ridge known as the climbers route) next spring.
