Spire Cheshire Hospital colleagues raise over £1,114 during their annual summer charity drive activities
05 September 2024
Colleagues at Spire Cheshire Hospital have raised over £1,114.00 after a charity car wash by their senior management team and a EURO 2024 box raffle during Spire Healthcare’s 2024 Summer charity drive – all in aid of Warrington Wolves Community Foundation – changing local lives through sport. £600 of funds raised have enabled Spire Cheshire to become patrons of the local community charity which engages with local people via sport. The remainder of funds will also be added to the monies donated to the charity at the end of the year at the conclusion of fundraising events.
During the multi-day event, colleagues across the business, including at Spire Healthcare’s 39 hospitals in England, Wales and Scotland, undertook a wide variety of activities including walking, cycling and running to raise money. At Spire Cheshire Hospital, colleagues were given a country that was part of the EURO’s as their theme to decorate and fill raffle boxes with treats and dress their department. The Senior management team washed 26 colleagues cars during a charity cash wash event.
Justin Ash, CEO of Spire Healthcare, said: "I’d like to thank Spire colleagues, and consultants for taking part in our 2024 Summer Charity Drive. It’s inspiring to see so many people giving of their time to raise funds for such a wide range of excellent causes. In addition to working every day to make a positive difference to people’s lives through outstanding personalised care, we at Spire Healthcare also believe in giving back to our local communities, and making a positive contribution to society wherever we can. I am therefore incredibly proud of everyone’s support and efforts to make this year’s fundraising period so successful.”
Ben White, Hospital Director at Spire Cheshire Hospital, said: “Thank you to all our colleagues that took part and supported our charity events, it was fantastic to see such enthusiasm and creativity in raising money for good causes. Everyone should be extremely proud of the huge contribution they have made on behalf of the hospital. Well done all.”
