MB ChB FRCS (Gen Surg)
I joined the Clare Park and Frimley Park Hospital team in 2009 with a strong background in Oncoplastic and Reconstructive breast surgery. I bring previous experience from plastic surgery and a highly competitive national fellowship in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery. These skills enable me to confidently treat breast cancer and minimise the cosmetic impact of surgery and to preserve breast aesthetics wherever possible.
My approach is warm and honest and I bring a female perspective to the surgical management of both benign and malignant breast disease. I empathise with the needs of modern women and seek to provide care in an efficient, open and approachable style. I would be more than happy to discuss any breast related problem in a relaxed setting and can be flexible with appointment times to suit the busiest of women and men, whether they have symptoms or just want to chat about cosmetic issues or family risk.
I am confident in the one-stop assessment and management of breast cancer and benign conditions (lumpectomy, lymph node surgery) with full multidisciplinary team input.
Advanced surgical skills include: cosmetic surgery, breast reconstruction (immediate and delayed) including the use of implants and tissue flaps; Fat transfer/lipofilling to restore volume loss, asymmetry, augmentation, breast reduction, and complex revisional procedures (redo surgery, implant exchange, second opinions) and male breast overgrowth (gynaecomastia).
I also have a strong interest in family history assessment and in risk-reducing surgery. This includes surveillance for the 'worried-well' and those at elevated risk. I undertake surgery for those confirmed with a BRCA gene mutation.
I teach on Core, Intermediate and Advanced Breast Skills courses at the Royal College of Surgeons, and am an Honorary Lecturer and Course Tutor on the national MS Degree in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery. As an invited speaker for many courses, I enjoy teaching and am dedicated to training in state-of-the-art breast surgery skills. I have organised a number of regional and national study days in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery. My research has been published and presented widely, both nationally and internationally.

I love cooking, gardening and hunting for bargains at antiques markets. Spending time with my husband, family and friends is very important to me, I try to spend as much of my free time as possible in their company.
Having recently moved to the local area from London, I look forward to getting to know the local community and contributing towards events whenever possible.
