Procedures offered for breast enlargement at Spire Clare Park Hospital

At Spire Clare Park Hospital, we offer a range of breast implant types, sizes and shapes. Your consultant will help you choose the best options for you.

Types of implant:

  • Silicone gel (soft or firm) – for a more natural feel that is less likely to wrinkle, with Polyurethane-coated implants less likely to rotate
  • Saline – may be more prone to wrinkling than silicone but lower risk of complications if they rupture

Shapes available:

  • Teardrop shape – you can choose the height and width separately, so there’s more flexibility with the shape
  • Round shape – a greater volume at the top
  • Projection – choose how much the implant sticks out to give a subtle or a more obvious look

Brands that we offer include:

  • Allergan
  • Nagor
  • Mentor
  • Motiva
  • Sebin

We also offer post-surgery support bras.

Preparing for breast enlargement surgery at Spire Clare Park Hospital

Getting here

Spire Clare Park Hospital is a 10 minute taxi ride from Farnham station. We also have on-site parking that’s free for you and your visitors.

Once you’ve contacted us, we’ll be able to arrange your first appointment within a few days.

Your consultations

You’ll be able to meet one of our experienced cosmetic surgeons in a private consultation room. There will be an opportunity to discuss:

  • The type of breast augmentation procedure that you’d like to have and the different implant options that are available to you
  • Your medical history
  • Any other surgery you might want to consider as an alternative to breast augmentation, such as breast uplift, as this might be a better option for you
  • The kind of tests you’ll need to have before the procedure
  • What’s involved in having the surgery, including the anaesthetic, and any risks and complications
  • Any other questions or concerns you may have about your surgery and what happens afterwards

You won’t be put under pressure to make any decisions straight away. Your consultant will explain that even if you feel sure about what you’d like to do next, there’s at least a two week cooling-off period before the operation in case you change your mind.

Before you go ahead with the operation, you may need to have a pre-operative assessment.

Breast enlargement surgery: your procedure

Some people can go home on the same day as their procedure. Your surgeon will be able to advise you about this, as well as what to bring with you. You’ll have your own en-suite room if you need to stay overnight, which has:

  • TV
  • Window
  • Armchair
  • Side table

If you’ve come with a friend or family member, they’re welcome to wait in our lounge or restaurant while you have your operation.

When you arrive for your surgery, you’ll meet your anaesthetist and the surgical team.

Before your surgery, you’ll have a general anaesthetic so you'll be asleep. During the procedure, which usually takes 60-90 minutes, the surgeon will make some cuts (incisions) in your breasts to insert the new implants.
