How to make a referral
At Spire Claremont Hospital we are committed to delivering excellent individual care and customer service to all our patients, from the first time they get in touch with us until after their treatment is complete. Our dedicated and highly trained staff follow our purpose to make a positive difference to patients’ lives through outstanding personalised care.
Our Primary Care Liaison team will work closely with you, to help provide the highest level of service. Your patients will receive expert care every step of the way.

Private insured patients
Patients with private medical insurance generally require a referral letter before any insured patient can be seen by a consultant. Your patient needs to contact their insurer to make sure they are covered for their appointment to see their chosen consultant.

Self-funding patients
Self-funding patients can often be seen by a consultant without a GP/Healthcare Professional referral, although a letter is often preferred and may be a necessity for some specialties eg imaging and neurology.

NHS referrals
Referrals for NHS patients must be sent through the online e-referral service (formerly choose and book) by visiting www.ebs.ncrs.nhs.uk. This is the best practice for us to receive NHS referrals, as patients will receive appointments in a timely manner and it is an efficient system.
