I am a Consultant Hepatologist at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, with a private practice at Spire Claremont Hospital. I see patients with early and advanced liver and biliary diseases, requiring various endoscopic procedures.
I developed a special interest in the management of fatty liver disease, developing management pathways. I offer comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures which assist in the management of liver and biliary diseases.
I qualified from the medical school in the University of Damascus, Syria and completed my specialist training in hepatology and gastroenterology in South Yorkshire including a dedicated hepatology training fellowship in Leeds and Sheffield.
I am currently a member of the hepato-biliary cancer multidisciplinary team and the lead for the liver cancer service in the department of Hepatology at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals.
I am a Consultant Hepatologist and Honorary Clinical Lecturer with the University of Sheffield. I participate in teaching locally and regionally for GPs and hospital-based doctors at The University of Sheffield.
