Mr Andrew Morritt

Consultant Plastic Surgeon

MBChB, MRCS, MD, FRCS (Plast)

I am a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the Royal Hallamshire and Northern General Hospitals with a Private Practice at Spire Claremont Hospital in Sheffield.

I am delighted to offer personalised, high quality cosmetic and reconstructive surgery to patients from Yorkshire, Derbyshire and further afield. I believe in an honest and open approach to consultations, and aim to give patients realistic and achievable options.

I have gained extensive experience in the latest cosmetic and reconstructive surgery techniques through training with many of the most highly regarded Plastic Surgeons in the UK, Australia and Canada. I am recognised on the General Medical Council (GMC) Specialist Register as a Plastic Surgeon.

I have completed over four years fellowship experience - this is optional additional surgical training beyond the compulsory training required for qualifying as a Plastic Surgeon in the UK. I am fortunate in having been selected to undertake prestigious fellowships at centres of international repute with recognised experts in the fields of breast reconstruction, cosmetic breast surgery, cosmetic surgery and microsurgery (techniques to reconstruct complex defects around the body).

These have included Breast and Head/Neck Microsurgery Fellow, Imperial College, London (2013), Breast/Microsurgery Fellow, Toronto (2012), Interface Fellow in Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery, Leicester (2011), Clinical Fellow in Microsurgery, Melbourne, Australia (2005 - 2007) and Microsurgery Research Fellow, O’Brien Institute, Melbourne, Australia (2005 - 2007).

I am actively involved in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and try my best to inspire the next generation of Plastic Surgeons. I trained in Plastic Surgery in three different countries and am currently incorporating many innovative training techniques learnt overseas into my practice.
