I am an experienced consultant surgeon with a specialisations in colon, rectum, and anal surgery, and complex hernia surgery bringing over a decade of expertise to my practice.

In my NHS practice I have established a complex abdominal wall reconstruction service. This service is dedicated to the assessment, management and repair of complex, giant, or recurrent abdominal wall hernias. My commitment to advancing the field is exemplified by my recent publication of a comprehensive textbook on complex abdominal wall reconstruction. Additionally, I regularly undertake advanced laparoscopic surgery for issues related to gallbladder, bowel, and hernias. I am a JAG-accredited endoscopist with expertise in both upper (gastroscopy) and lower (colonoscopy/flexible sigmoidoscopy) gastrointestinal endoscopy.

With a career spanning more than 25 years in the Royal Army Medical Corps, I have served in various challenging environments, including deployments to Northern Ireland, Kosovo, and Afghanistan.

My passion for trauma surgery remains, and I actively contribute to the field as a dedicated educator. I am privileged to act as Editor-in-Chief of the journal 'TRAUMA' and actively participate in teaching on various trauma surgery courses.

With my extensive experience and continuous pursuit of excellence, I am committed to providing exceptional care to each patient.
