I'm a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals with a private practice at Spire Claremont Hospital. I have broad experience in general urological disorders.
I specialise in urological cancers, particularly kidney and testicular cancer, the latter for which I am the South Yorkshire Lead. I perform both open, laparoscopic (keyhole) and robotic surgery.
I completed my higher urological training in South Yorkshire. In 2010, I was appointed a full-time, NHS Consultant Urological Surgeon. I have undertaken travelling fellowships to the Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic and The University of Southern California, USA.
Formerly, teaching Anatomy at the University of Oxford. Currently, I am a trainer on the National Laparoscopic Kidney Surgery course. I am an examiner at The University of Sheffield Medical School. I am also an exam question writer for the FRCS (Urol) examinations. I was awarded an MD at The University of Leicester investigating molecular biological markers for the chemoprevention of prostate cancer.
I have published in peer-reviewed journals and written book chapters too.
