I am a Consultant ENT Surgeon at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust with a private practice at Spire Claremont Private Hospital.
My main sub-specialist interest is Otology (diseases of the ear and balance) and I also specialise in Rhinology (diseases of the nose and sinuses) and sees general ENT complaints. I routinely perform middle ear, mastoid surgery, nasal and sinus surgery.
I completed my Medical training with an Honours degree in 1995 going on to complete her ENT specialist training in the South Trent region working at the University Hospitals of Nottingham, Leicester and Derby. I have a subspecialist interest in Otology and was awarded the Graham Fraser fellowship in Otology and Cochlear Implantation to work in Sydney in 2006. After completing that Fellowship, I researched hearing loss at the Garvan Institute for Medical Research in Sydney. I have worked at the University Hospitals Bristol and the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children from 2008 and relocated to Rotherham in 2013.
I have presented nationally and internationally, published peer-reviewed articles in ENT and worked with the British Medical Journal group to publish articles on the evaluation of dizziness and cholesteatoma (a form of middle ear and mastoid disease). I also teach medical students, junior doctors and GPs about general ENT disorders and ear complaints.
