Having graduated from Oxford University I completed my initial general medical training in London. I then spent five years training in Oncology at the Royal Marsden Hospital followed by two years in Leeds.
I have been the Cancer Lead at the Berkshire Cancer Centre, Reading between 1994 to 2017 and the Clinical Director between 2011 and 2017.
I sit on the faculty board of the Royal College of Radiologists.
I am a major contributor to national randomised trials investigating gastro-intestinal and lung cancer.
